After some attempts to install the Visual Studio 2008 Service Pack 1, I figured out that I had to install Service Pack 3 for my Windows XP Professional first. I have also installed Service Pack 1 for .NET Framework 3.5 because Visual Studio SDK 1.1 RTM requires it.
Well my decision caused the 3 hours of installations and entire update for my machine :)
